Anvil & Trebuchet
« on: October 01, 2018, 09:52:51 AM »
Hi
Dwarf Anvil anti terror function.
Till end of Dwarf's turn (WMR Armies 1.0) or
Till start of Dwarf's next turn. (Online Warmaster Selector)?

Can the Trebuchet move (WMR Armies 1.0) or
It can't move (Online Warmaster Selector)?

Thanks.

Thanks Dave.

Good to know.
I'm happy to play RAW for all the possible combinations so I'm easy to please. :)

Having the anti-terror function work only in the Dwarf turn is a nice touch. It encourages Dwarf players to move forward into attack during their turn.
(I'm shaking the dust off my old Dwarf army. Looking forward to getting it on the table again.)

Yes, the update is underway (will send the file tomorrow Dave :-) ). Trebuchet can move or shoot now. I wasn't aware about the Anvil though, for as far as I know there were no changes in Anvil rules. Have to check it whre this comes from... Good spot.

In Warmaster Armies 2006 document as well as in WMR Armies it states "for the rest of the Dwarf player's turn".
I have no idea how the other version found it's way to Army Slector.

[Why I love Warmaster]

Had a wonderful conversation with another Dwarf General about the benefits (or otherwise) of brigading Artillery. It was closely followed by a debate about the usefulness of the Anvil anti-fear feature availability in 'opponents' turn. More specifically about the use of Dwarfs as an offensive vs Defensive army.

Although the conversation was about rules.
It wasn't.  :)

It was two Dwarf commanders having a meaningful discussion about dwarf tactical doctrine.

All good stuff!
