Recently inspired by Dragon Age Origins to pull out the warmaster armies and finish the unpainted lead!
Earlier in the month pulled out the box of warmaster minis and found:
character pack
two warrior packs
hammers
rangers
cannon
flame cannon
Two ebay auctions later, picked up three more warriors, two troll slayers and two thunders.
Considering my bias for the Roman Legionnaire approach to the Dwarves in Warmaster; ordered 4 more packs of warriors, one more thunder unit and two more ranger units... as well the BOFA box set.
Scrounging in the back of the closet, I found my man o war fleet which has three gyrocopters... [also took out 5 subs, 6 monitors, 2 ironclads and 2 dreadnoughts for priming...]
3000+ points of dwarves. [I plan on basing the rangers 4-6 a stand; and the thunders 6 to a stand. Just looks better to me, makes the rangers setting up ambushes more believable; and allows me to make 4 units from 3 packs].
Plenty of warriors for a 2k warrior focused list; cannons, thunders and slayers for some options.

Over the past three weeks I have painted up two warrior units, the hammers and one unit of trollslayers; general, runesmith and one hero.
Shocked at how easy the trollslayers were to paint up compared to the warriors - one beard color makes a huge difference. I went a little crazy with five different beard colors on the warriors
Currently slowly working on one unit of rangers, thunders, the cannons and the gyrocopters.
Basing materials on order; plan is to get a basic 1k force done by Christmas... with the parents in town, taking advantage of the free babysitting to play against my wife's HE
For that goal need to paint up another 3 warrior units and finish the rangers + 1 gyrocopter.
