Just a few notes on possible models for WE juggling up price/availability/desirability:
Standard 28mm GW Dryads are a better Treeman model than just about any of the others being produced but as Treemen aren’t anatomically demanding its worth having a crack at sculpting your own. You’ll probably find the hardest bit making a pose you like.
I would like to see the army list add Treeman as a monster option -/1 limit with giant-ish sort of stats.
This bloke looks the ducks nuts as either general or Treeman proxy:

Copplestone are the human riders (good horses) and there is a decent mounted elf in the goodies character pack.
The horses are better than just about everyone else’s but I’d have to green stuff the riders a bit to make them satisfactorily Elvish (cloaks/less helmets/cover armour a little bit) and this is a is proper fiddle at 10mm. Alternatively they might just need a lick of green paint and look fine on the table top.
There’s a shot of glade riders that were converted from GW Dark riders which looks 10/10 and would be my first choice but they’re not around at a reasonable price any more. That said please PM me if you’ve got a few units you no longer require.
The
Pendraken Witch Elves look good as war dancers from the pics, have to find out in the flesh but can’t see too much going wrong.

Pendraken are also the right price & have half decent sculpts. They’ve made an effort toward pose variation which deserves applause & support. Archers look good, the warriors I’m not so sure about, but the War band packs are stellar value and probably look fine on the table I’m just being fussy.
http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Warband-Fantasy-NEW-c36/Wood-Elves-sc337/I’ve also got some Pendraken centaurs which I’ll be using as wild riders/ glade riders. Once again these sculpts are a bit ‘short’ for me. A wee bit skinny here a wee bit samey there but that said they have made a greater # of variants now. After I bought these or I just didn’t realise they were different. The ones I’ve got I’ve had to green stuff a bit to get them approaching the look I want.
http://www.pendraken.co.uk/FAN-TAU3-p7286/Magister Militum have a few decent options and the giant deer/moose are great. There’s a lot of unit options available but I’d have to be sure that archer with the contortionist arm looked OK if there’s only 2 variants in the pack. Once again - priced right.

Eureka – Well documented in post above but I have mixed feelings. They’re just a bit small in my experience. I bought a mixed pack of forest creatures to use as sprites for the 28mm Treeman model I made years ago. The stags were outstanding and remain the best choice as wild riders but the riders were too small for me. Positively titchy. Eureka dryads were certainly the pick of a very small bunch but don’t really do it for me. I’ll be making my own.
Their WE characters look good but I didn’t buy these.
Eureka sculpts on the whole are 10/10 I’m just not sold on the scale but they’re probably spot on 10mm exactly and
everything else is too big. The problem is that I have access to UK minis no problem and that pretty much covers
everything else. As much as I’d love to support the Aussie cousins I find the price a wee bit steep at £8 for a unit (albeit a 30 fig unit). I really have to wait for Salute or when I’m visiting down south as postage pushes them into the too expensive basket.
I’ll be looking to using the smallest
Reaper bones dragons (Hatchlings) I can find as Warhawk riders/Eagles. I figure that a baby dragon breath attack could proxy for the archers. Warhawk rider options are around just not spot on with what I’m after. They look kind of off/ the bird is just too small and it shouldn’t matter but I can’t get past it. I’ve got 3 dragons, one is too big but I’ll paint one up and show them here at some point shortly. There’s a treekin-ish figure in the familiars set as well which others might like but isn’t for me.
