Okay I have been really preoccupied this week and havent been able to keep too much track of the progress everyone has been making. I am really impressed, this tale of warmaster painters is going very very well and we are only in week two!
Sorry for backtracking so much but there are several updates I have missed and couldnt resist commenting...
Meister.Petz - I have been painting skaven too recently and have to admit have sacrificed a little on detail to get some of them finished. I really regret this after seeing your beautifully painted stormvermin, the unit looks ace all ranked up! I hope you can maintain such a high level of painting accross the whole army!
m4jumbo - I have to admit I was skeptical about black and white empire, I was expecting it to look flat and lifeless... I was pleasently suprised by your efforts, there is just the right amount of coloured detail added to them to cure me of any worries I am really looking forward to seeing an entire army done!
Stomm - I have been painting Uruks recently and painting white hands on some of their shields almost drove me insane! How you managed to paint perfect designs on so many romans I will never know. You are a person of greater mental fortitue than I my friend.
azrael71 - Mick I will never understand how you manage to paint so many models in such a short amount of time. The spiders look great and by my reckoning every one is different! you certainly put us all to shame. I second your plea with games workshop to sell the alt models again I really wanted to do a savage orc and forest goblin army but I guess it will never happen. Oh and if they did just a limited run of the kislev bears I would definatly buy several packs.
Pugwash - Im not going to return to my ramblings about how great you spearmen look again. They are beautiful! I have to say though im not so convinved on the grass on the base though, its a little too green... if that makes sense? Maybe some brown grass or light desert grass might be better? Maybe... Oh I just scrolled down and saw the brown ones (im reading and writing at the same time... there are too many updates for me to remember them all in one sitting) The brown looks better but I think maybe a little too dark?
Lex - I want to see more pictures of everything! There are some really interesting looking models in that box of yours. I like the warwagon alot, I have always had a special place in my heart for trolls.
Rolgan - More excillent wolves! How did you do the bases as they look great and I would like to steal the look. Also how did you paint the grey wolves? I have been trying to paint some wargs of my own but they look very very bland...
jchaos79 - I have had opponents suffer the same problem you have. It can be hard to keep track of especially in 2000+ pts when there are alot of units being raised all over the place! Yours seems like a really good idea I may point a few undead players this way. Are they all made from scratch?
Okay And finally I will throw my tiny piece of work into the fray... I will try not to moan too much but they came out alot worse than I was hoping for.I think they may need alot of repainting as the ponys look a little wierd and messy and the crew dont look right either. I am posting them now just to get some feed back but I am definatly going to give them some attention and will repost them in the future.
Here are my golloping guns for the army, made from dwarf cannons and mules with a few random empire models and dwarf crewmembers.
