Warmongers next unit
« on: September 16, 2015, 08:12:19 PM »
I'm getting the ball rolling on Landsknechte Crossbowmen. The plan at this point would be KS in October, casting in November and shipping in Dec. The holidays could potentially put a snag in that, so we'll see how it goes.

Talked with Bob, his rough time frame was 20 days. If that holds I'll launch the Kickstarter the second or third week of Octrober and let it run for two weeks.

Do you have a plan for the aesthetic? I have a tonne of Empire crossbowmen, so for selfish reasons I'd love it if they were different - perhaps even more "landsknechty" than the GW equivalents to fit with the rest of your range?

+1 to that.

I've got loads of painted GW crossbows - so would want something a bit different to get me to buy these ones.

They're going to be so landsknechty that they'll schützen your hosen off!

Ya, they'll fit in with the rest. I pretty much gave Bob the same instructions as I did with the Arquebusiers, so one kneeling, one standing, and lots of flouncy shirts, hats and feathers.

This sounds great.

Will the kickstarter have the option of buying some Arquebusiers as well? I missed them last time.

I think they are, but it's good to have the option t get them through the kickstarter, so that postage costs will definitely be rolled together (I know some kickstarters refuse to combine kickstarter projects with regular ones for this purpose).

You can add them in via the survey, $10 each, that I send out to get everyone's shipping info and save on shipping. But ya, they're on the site too.

That's good, I was thinking the same thing.  This is great, that's going to be 4 DoW units ready and 3 Empire proxy/supplement units.

Bob's starting work on Monday. WiP shots as I get them. I'll launch the KS in two or three weeks depending on how sculpting goes.
