Tale of Warmaster Painters - July 2016
« on: June 24, 2016, 07:43:42 AM »
Hi everybody,

It is open the space to choose what is your goal for July. This month everthing in 10mm is welcome (even 10mm little diorams wing wing bsonbudak).

Rules as always, when you finish your goal, post your final pics with the word [ENTRY] somewhere. There will be a poll at the end of the month, where everyone every forum member could participate. The winner of July will be give away with a Kislev original GW command stand, painted, varnished and based ready to command Kislev armies or being a Hero for Empire and Dogs of war armies.

So let's go, gentelmens!

1. Ole --> Forgeworld stone tower
2. Jchaos  --> Macedonian phalanx + command (Alexander the Great defending injured Philippo)
3. Aquahog --> Empire hero on Griffon
4. Stormwind --> Last chaos Chariot + Marauder Inf ... maybe but only maybe some Elves too
5. Tiberius --> Evil Hero on Drake
6. Cjbennet22 __ siege stuff
7. Mlkr__ not defined yet - goblin fanatic cannons
8. Dry_erase __ one skelleton infantry one chariots
9. Sjapie__ command one unir orca por dwarfs
10. Empireaddicted __ marauders
11. Gorrín__ finish chaos dragón +building maybe albion test strip

Oh hi, sorry for the delay.

I didn't get much done before so current plan is:

My last Chaos Chariot unit, that was meant to be done this past week but it spilled over into July, oops. :-X

Next I really want to get another Marauder Infantry unit done so I have a painted legal 2000 point army.  If I'm very good I'll be able to convince myself to do some Elves too!

I'm in!  At least I'll make a go of it if it's not too late.  I just got a hold of some of Yann's evil men.  I'd like to try to finish his Evil Hero on Drake!

I am also in if scratch building 5 siege towers for warmaster counts?  Oh, and a couple of sally ports and a whole bunch of piles of rocks for "rock droppers".

I doubt the towers will look all that good as that is the theme, I want the towers to look field built and hurried for combat out of the surrounding buildings unprofessionally by the soldiers that will be pushing them forward in a few weeks time.

I have a head start on them as I already started everything earlier this week.

I'm in again, slogging through my skeleton core troops. I'll paint a unit of skeleton infantry and another unit of chariots, but this time it's going to be Polar Fox, so that's more exciting than yet more GW.

I have attached a picture that shows the progress so far.  the foam blocks are all made, the wood pieces are started and stained on a couple.

I have 1 that I was allowed to make on the 3d printer at work, it turned out really nice after getting painted and washed.  Made it really rough to create the lines of wood but not registering that one, just the other scratch built things.

I actually ran out of glue tonight putting a few pieces together but I need to get some more supplies later anyways.  Add that to the list too.

I'm also going to chip in, will probably be just one unit, or some characters, not yet sure what. Orcs, or maybe some dwarfs.

Those look very promising! The wood grain gives them the look of being made of planks.

CJ: Those look awesome!  I may have to try something like that myself some day. Really nice work.  I never thought of staining balsa.
