Jupiter Ascending.

I don't care if the movie was sub-par (it was), we have now been given a whole new Universe to explore for any writer/director willing to explore it. Thank you Wachowski brothers!

Oh this seems to blend the Eldar and Imperium really well. The ships have Gothic cathedrals on Eldar-style sail ships. And they talk about a "Great Expansion" [read: Great Crusade].

I just saw Kingsman with the girlfriend!

Dear god that is a good movie! Doesnt take itselfs too seriously but doesnt take its audience for idiots either. Smart, nice actionscenes, almost too violent and great music to fightingscenes. You have to see this movie!!! Colin Firth makes an excellent ultraviolent actionscene rivaling Tarantinos stuff....

really. just. see it!

We just watched Strange Magic last weekend. One of the best animated musicals I've ever seen; the entire family enjoyed it immensely! The movie is basically a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by the evergreen 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Popular songs from the last six decades tell the story of an extremely colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, plus their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion.
You can't have everything; where would you put it?

Saw the latest Night at the Museum and Spongebob. Both okay. Museum being the better movie. Liked the Huge Ackmann cameo.

I also watched Kingsman at the weekend. So good. Starts off very James Bond/Bourne, and slowly moves more into Jonny English territory as it gradually gets more silly and extreme, but never goes too far or takes itself too serously. It is violent in places, which sometimes clashes with the 'tongue in cheek spy movie'.

Colin Firth is surprisingly good, and I hope that this movie takes him out of Jane Austen/Bridget Jones movies and more into these.

Recommended.

And yes! Saw Jupiter Ascending two days ago. It is totally awesome. Do not believe the hype. Do not believe the critics! It is an excellent sci-fi Opera-fairy tale.

Just watched About Elly two days ago. The plot is very intricate, and it is a story well told. The film revolves around a group of old friends on a holiday retreat by the Caspian Sea. Suddenly in the middle of all the fun, the protagonist of the film - Elly - suddenly vanishes into thin air. Then ensue a series of deceptions and revelations that sort of shatter the lives of all those who remain. Pretty serious stuff, but a gripping mystery. Another lighter flick we watched was the second part of the How to Train Your Dragon animation flick, by DreamWorks. Have been hearing a lot about it on and off, thanks to my son who swears by the dragon games based on the movie. And so he borrowed a DVD from a friend and we watched it. I was pleasantly surprised - the animation was terrific, the story - even though it is a kids' film - had a pretty good emotional angle to it, and the friendship between Hiccup and Toothless was super endearing. Loved it!

Just got home from Sweden's first Imax having seen the new star wars for the second time. Great movie! 3D is highly overrated though... Wish they would stop pushing that crap unto the moviegoers... :/

Only one cinema in the village. Only one option. But yeah, the movie was breathtaking. Goose bumps on multiple occasions. I don't usually get that from movies.

Just seen it too - great film but I won't be bothering with 3D next time. I'm sure I've said that before though...
