The Kickstarter is live!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1765086496/10mm-german-landsknechte-with-zweihander-great-swo

It's slated to end on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 11:59 PM EDT.

The prices are lower than what we talked about before and shipping will be an additional fee to be charged when your pledge is ready to ship (aiming for November at this point).

Edit: 2014-10-02 -

The Landsknechte with Zweihänder (Great Swords) and Landsknecht Pikeniere (Pikemen) are now available up on the Warmonger Miniatures website.

I will be committing to buy.....

I've also sent out a message to the Downunder Warmaster players to see about a combined bigger pledge.  Hopefully it will all go well.

Do you have any concept sketches for the Pikemen, Arbelesters and Handgunners?  Are they going to be closer to German Empire style or more like Swiss/Italian style?

No sketches, I told Bob what I was after and he ran with it. The stretch goals would be in the same style as the Zweihander. In terms of the Pikemen, here's what I was thinking:

  • 1 Command strip facing the narrow edge (bearer walking with banner flowing behind him, and a flute player behind him)
  • 2 Rank and File strips facing the narrow edge (front figures in "charge for horse", back figures in "port")
  • 4 Rank and File strips facing the wide edge (readiness/walking positions)

Units would come with 1/5/9 respectively.

50% in around 28 hours? :o

Awesome. Thanks to everyone who's backed so far. Lesson learned though, next time I'll get LeVar Burton to do a video for me. :P

Got a pledge in too.

It would be great to see some pics of the pikes as soon as possible, as I could be in for some of them too (even though I have lots of pikes already!)

Thanks Forbes.

Once we make the stretch goal I'll ask Bob to start work on them. All my costs (sculpts, shipping stuff, business stuff) have been out of pocket thus far, I don't want to add another sculpt commission to that if they're not a sure thing though.

However, if they're made and you didn't pledge for any I'd be willing to throw them in the same box so you can save on shipping. They'd be at $10 each, not at your "extra units" cost (there's got to be some incentive to pledge :P).
